I'm a big fan of any and all dumplings -- momos are no exception.
Momos are bite-sized dumplings that are a traditional food of Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine. They are usually filled with meat that is seasoned with spices like turmeric, garlic, cumin, and chili peppers.
The Momo World, per the name, specializes in its momo dishes with classic streamed and signature options. You can never go wrong with steamed chicken or vegetable momos, but I love the Momo World's signature momos. I recommend the tandoori momos, which are steamed then cooked again in a spicy marinade; the jhol momos are also always a great option, which are steamed momos bathed in a Himalayan creamy soup.
In addition, the Momo World offers tempting sides such as garlic naan (always a must), samosas (fried pastries), and tornado fries (literally shaped like a tornado). Their dessert chocolate momos are also an essential finale to a delicious meal.
Grab a seat indoors or outdoors and enjoy Chicago's best Himalayan street food!
