The Momo World Chicago

Nepalese Dumplings

"Momos are bite-sized dumplings from Nepal and Tibet, usually filled with meat that is seasoned with spices like turmeric, garlic, cumin, and chili peppers."

I'm a big fan of any and all dumplings -- momos are no exception.

Momos are bite-sized dumplings that are a traditional food of Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine. They are usually filled with meat that is seasoned with spices like turmeric, garlic, cumin, and chili peppers.

The Momo World, per the name, specializes in its momo dishes with classic streamed and signature options. You can never go wrong with steamed chicken or vegetable momos, but I love the Momo World's signature momos. I recommend the tandoori momos, which are steamed then cooked again in a spicy marinade; the jhol momos are also always a great option, which are steamed momos bathed in a Himalayan creamy soup.

In addition, the Momo World offers tempting sides such as garlic naan (always a must), samosas (fried pastries), and tornado fries (literally shaped like a tornado). Their dessert chocolate momos are also an essential finale to a delicious meal.

Grab a seat indoors or outdoors and enjoy Chicago's best Himalayan street food!

Vito + Nick's

Breaking Chicago pizza stereotypes

Vito & Nick's doesn't make typical Chicago pizza: it's the thin crust that reigns supreme here. I drive out of my way to get there, but it's worth it.

The 606

Quiet nature path

The 606 (aka the Bloomingdale Trail) in Chicago is a repurposed walking trail on a disused piece of L train track. In my opinion, it's a piece of art.

Argyle Street

Chicago's only shared street

"Argyle Street" is Chicago's first shared street. The concept allows cafes to extend outside their doors and provide spaces for the summer night market...

Spicy Truck Tacos

The star of the show is De Luna's "volcano" taco, made with spicy poblano pepper and melted cheese. It may be one of the best tacos I've eaten in my life!

Nhà Hàng Vietnam

Traditional Vietnamese

Although this street is dominated by Vietnamese eateries, Nhà Hàng is a quieter, no-frills joint as opposed to the touristy, upscale restaurants nearby.
