There are a lot of "sweet"-selling spots in Chisinau and I always praise the great deserts that one can find around the city. However, a year ago I discovered my personal favorite, Bunatati de la Marika
Despite trying to drastically cut on sugar, I allow myself sometimes a sweet treat, and the more seldom it happens the more I treasure it. In this context, this place has become my sweet heaven! It is a small pastry shop located in the city center, which without previous recommendation would not seem very inviting. The magic is in the taste of its creations and their high-quality ingredients.
Also, I am always surprised by what I will find there, as what they sell in the shop is in very small quantities and assortment, since the pastries are primarily catered for big events. Still, I do not mind the limited choice, as my sweet heaven needs just one piece of fresh cake and good coffee – which I can always find at Marika'.
P.S. Marika- the owner- is most of the time in the shop and her recommendations are always perfect.
