I like to go to 'Ecco' with friends who have special eating needs. In Ecco there is not only vegetarian food, but also gluten-free or even vegan. All without flavor enhancers, and freshly cooked. But someone who eats everything will be happy here as well, so it is the perfect mix for me.
Ecco has a huge glass front and many cosy tables in bistro style. In the summer there are numerous places outside. I like the location very much: it's in the middle of the southern city, close to Severin Street with its shops and grocery stores and many bars around it.
In addition to salads, soups and snacks, Ecco also offers delicious baked food such as brownies, crepes and many homemade cakes, coffee specialties also (e.g. with soy milk). I usually go there for lunch or dinner and to enjoy a burger, tarte flambée or schnitzel with different sauces. Everything is available in a vegan or gluten-free version. And that’s why I go there often, e.g. with my father who cannot eat gluten or with my best friend who loves the vegan Schnitzel!
Now there is also the lunch from 10:00 - 15:00 as a buffet and speed-brunch daily for people with little time. (Tell them beforehand, best to reserve). I have to try this out soon as well.
