Det Vide Hus (literally meaning “The White House” because it is actually a…white house!) is a tiny café in the very city center of Copenhagen, in Nørreport area, close to metro, trains & buses.
But you do pass by it easily without noticing because it is so small…! It does have a window, but since it looks like a house, it is easy to just pass it by…!
When you do notice, though…oh, the splendour! Super affordable, extra cosy (or hygge as we’d say in Danish!), with one of the best cappuccinos in the city & a great selection of Danish pastry (different every time, but it you spot the kaki fruit one give it a try, it’a awesome!) Oh, and of course, smiley personnel to make your day, on top!
Very small area downstairs & some more tables upstairs where you can watch the traffic and rain next to the foggy windows! Just beware of the curly staircase, not for everyone!
