It’s a big claim, but Beirut may just be my favourite restaurant in the city. Beirut’s location tucked around the corner from the Edinburgh Central Mosque, as well as its very unassuming exterior, can make it hard to find, but once you know it’s there you’ll want to go back again and again. I’m always trying to find another reason to visit and love introducing it to friends as well!
Beirut offers high quality and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. The incredibly extensive menu covers everything from dips to wraps, salads to charcoal-grilled skewers. This is also a great place to bring veggie and vegan friends as they have an exciting variety of options to choose from.
Along with the food one of the biggest draws is the staff, who are always so warm and welcoming (last time I visited the waiter taught us all how to write our names in Arabic and recommended some Lebanese music).
On warm days, you can try a shisha pipe outside with different flavoured tobacco. You can also bring your own bottle although they do have some alcohol options available on the menu.
