If you’re looking for a bit of live, late-night entertainment, then Stramash in Edinburgh’s Old Town is where you’ll most likely find a lot of the locals. This lively music bar is open until 3am every night and serves up comforting burgers, nachos, pizzas and sides until midnight.
The first thing you’ll notice about Stramash is its size and unique space. The upbeat music and sports bar is actually the site of an old, renovated church and can now hold up to 900 people! Throughout the day they stream live sports events on huge TV screens, whilst by night they showcase big bands from across Scotland and the rest of the globe.
No matter what night of the week you go, the venue aims to have a lovely gig performance each evening. If you truly want to soak up the atmosphere, I recommend you head along after 10pm when it starts to get a bit busier. What a lot of the locals love about Stramash is its rock and roll vibes and dance floor full of smiles. Their big stage makes a great night-time focal point and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed.
