I know that reading about food is really boring, but we are in Italy and eating must be an experience like visiting a museum, and you should have this experience in the right places. The Burro & Acciughe is one of these places!
This is mainly a fish restaurant, so I suggest you choose some fish dishes. I always order their bread with butter and anchovies as a starter; that is a traditional dish and even the name of the restaurant -- the fried anchovies. They are both amazing, I'm not joking, they are special. Then choose any other dish on the menu, you can't go wrong. Let Alberto, the charming owner of the restaurant, suggest you a good wine to drink.
This cozy restaurant is in the genuine and historic San Frediano neighborhood.
As with all the best, but not expensive, restaurants, it's better if you book a table in advance.
