Everybody knows Banki Ramen in Florence. And every Florentine has been there at least once. Maybe not more than once, because it's really hard getting to eat their special ramen because they prepare only small quantities. so you have to go there early (plus they don't take reservations) and wait in line among the Italians and Japanese waitresses who run from one room to another. It's a funny racket.
The restaurant seems really cheap, stuck in the '80s, but don't fuss over the atmosphere and their dishes will win you over! The restaurant is on a corner and has two entrances: one at the restaurant and another one at the bar. If you are not interested in Japanese food, just go there for a coffee and a chat with the wonderful lady bartender who will suddenly make you feel like a regular customer. I swear, you won't wanna leave this place.
