Nowadays most of the toys that kids use are electronic and classic toy-shops are considered outmoded, but when I was a child (back in the '90s) every toy-shop was a paradise full of treasures for me. And, above all toy-shops, there was one which I almost considered to be magic.
I remember sighing every time I passed in front of it. Maybe it was because of its enormous size, maybe because, it being in the very centre, I rarely had the chance to visit it, maybe because, in my imagination, every existing toy was available there. Anyway, this place was (and still is) Dreoni Giocattoli.
So, if you would like to take a stroll inside this big store, filled with dreams of generations of Florentines (including the one writing this), all you need is to go to Via Ricasoli from San Lorenzo Church and you'll find it on your right-hand (entry granted preferably after sighing).
