Mugello, not like the name of the famous race track, but like the country area north of Florence, that hosts the MotoGP, and a few of the best farms in Tuscany. Palagiaccio is actually the name of a farm, a big farm near Borgo S.Lorenzo where the cows run free, the cheese is hand-crafted, and the bread is organic. A farm that sends its milk to town to let us taste the difference between good quality and best quality.
They have four different shops in town (Piazza Dalmazia 32; Via Sacchetti 23; Via Gioberti 9R; Viale Giannotti 50R), so you probably have one near you! Palagiaccio's yoghurt is a regular guest in my fridge. And no matter who you are, you need to try their hard cheese with the handmade caramellata di cipolle (caramelized onions mustard), a great appetizer to bring as a gift!
Anything from this shop is genuine, seasonal and "Zero Kilometers", pretty much everything I look for in a grocery store. Highly recommended!
