If you are in Florence for a special occasion make sure to come here for a romantic lunch or dinner, it is right in Piazza della Signoria and the best time is in Spring or Autumn to dine here. Just give me 20 portions of fried calamari and veggies served with an amazing agrodolce sauce, my favorite dish of the restaurant.
I have also tried the famous fresh tomato pasta, that is one of the most simple but hard to make plates, just like Italian grandmothers make it. The restaurant is really good looking and has some amazing cocktails for an aperitif.
Of course, it is part of the Savoy hotel and it is one of the most amazing hotels to stay in Florence, but don't get scared by the appearance, the prices are not low but they are not really high so it is definitely affordable and chic at the same time! The service is amazing, the waiters are full of special attentions for all guests and they really know how to pamper you!

"Casa del Popolo di Settignano" in Florence is like the Casa del Popolo from the '70s & '80s. Really friendly, a magical, genuine place for meeting people.
