Here I am talking about one of my favourite streets again: Borgo la Croce! Now I want to talk about Kalimera, l’angolo greco (the Greek corner). A simply furnished, little restaurant that serves typical Greek cuisine.
When you enter you are welcomed by the staff (composed of real Greek guys willing to translate any unknown word on the menu for you) who will take you to your white and blue table, the predominant colours here, a sort of little Santorini!
A great place for lunch, they have 4 different set menus, two for meat lovers, but also two vegetarian choices. In case nothing inspires you, you can have a lunch “À la carte”. When you get the set menu choice you receive your warm pita with a colourful dish full of Greek goodies! The portions for each ingredient is small, just a little taste, but when you finish eating each of them you’ll barely find space for dessert!
If you don’t have to drive, and you feel like having a drink to help you digest, they have a nice raisin wine, sweet and full bodied. In case you are not a fan of wine, you can go with the classic choice of a glass of Ouzo!
