Kalimera L'angolo Greco Florence

A bite of Greece

Matilde from Florence

hey there :)
""Kalimera L'angolo Greco" is a Greek restaurant in Florence. It's a great place for lunch. They have 4 set menus: 2 for meat lovers and 2 for vegetarians."

Here I am again, raving about one of my most beloved streets: Borgo la Croce! Now, let's delve into Kalimera, l'angolo greco (the Greek corner). It's a modestly furnished, small restaurant that serves authentic Greek cuisine.

As you step inside, you'll be warmly greeted by the staff (comprised of genuine Greek individuals who are more than willing to translate any unfamiliar words on the menu). They will guide you to your table adorned in white and blue—the predominant colours here, reminiscent of a charming Santorini vibe!

Kalimera is an excellent spot for lunch, offering four different set menus, including two options for meat lovers and two vegetarian choices. If nothing catches your fancy, you can always go for à la carte selections. When you opt for the set menu, your meal will commence with a warm pita accompanied by a vibrant dish filled with delectable Greek treats! Each ingredient is served in small portions, providing a tantalizing taste experience. By the time you finish savoring each delightful bite, you'll barely have room left for dessert!

If you're not driving and fancy a drink to aid digestion, they offer a delightful raisin wine—sweet and full-bodied. Alternatively, you can opt for the classic choice of a glass of Ouzo if wine isn't to your liking!
