If you are in Florence and after some selfies you see that your nails are not in great shape, don't worry, you can go to Maniboo. They do great manicures with or without gel and make sure to ask for a massage after your pedi.
If you call in advance, you have a better chance to get an appointment, but if you just show up, Jessica will be sure to find you a spot with one of the girls. They also speak English, so you won't have to go crazy trying to translate what service you would like in Italian.
I love the interior design, but I try not to stay too long so as not to spend everything I have on me in Makeup Forever products and special creams they have for sale. Make sure you make up your mind on what color nail polish you want - if not, it will take you a while to decide, and they are fast! Maniboo's staff will offer you coffee or tea and ask you if you want to watch a movie while you are getting your pedi done, I always love to watch Sex and the City to get in the right mood!
