This elegant bridge is my favorite in Florence. The Ponte Santa Trinita was destroyed during the second World War and rebuilt thanks to Florentines who deeply wanted it and fished its statues out of the Arno river.
It's a natural bench where I sit while I'm eating an ice cream I've taken from Gelateria Santa Trinita, my favorite gelateria in town (try the sesame and pistachio!) I sit there watching the different types of human beings who cross the bridge until sunset.
Well, this is a magical place to watch Ponte Vecchio on one side and the sunset on the other side. I can clearly see the blue turning into red, yellow and violet. And see Ponte Vecchio changing its pastel colours into bright ones. When the sunset ends, I'm quite sad because it has only lasted a few minutes... but then I realize that a I live here and I can come back the next day!
