This is a kind of health-food, rare-herb heaven. This is the perfect place for a health nerd like myself, who has searched all over the city for a certain tea or a bottle of kombucha with no luck at all, until I found it here. Conveniently posted on via Serragli -- between piazza Santo Spirito and Piazza Tasso -- it’s a bit like a grandiose bottega. On a sunny afternoon, one could presumably stop by and pick up an organic artisanal beer from the fridge, or a kombucha, or a coconut water, and enjoy a DIY aperitivo in one of the many nearby piazzas.
But that’s not all! This tiny market manages to also be a well-stocked health food store and an herbalist shop as well. There is a bakery section, where, if you're lucky, you might find their banana buckwheat bread or their hemp-flour schiacciata.
Then, if you really wander, you’ll happen upon the almost-hidden apothecary in the back. If looking for more personal advice on general health or nutrition, you can book a one-on-one appointment with their naturopath on staff. If you're on the go, you might take more interest in their wide array of healthy, travel-friendly snacks.
