Nordend Frankfurt
A stroll through my neighbourhood
My favourite place in Frankfurt is definitely my neighbourhood – the "Nordend". It's full of little, individual cafés, small restaurants, apple wine taverns, organic supermarkets, little art house cinemas, and even a small theatre with its own beer garden.
The Günthersburgpark, Holzhausenpark and Bethmannpark are not the only green areas in the Nordend, but there are various alleys with huge old trees. The beautiful houses from the founding period give you the incentive to take a break from the hectic city life while staying in Frankfurt.
When strolling through the quarter you will see families with little children, intellectuals, artists and students.
You will just have to go for a walk, explore and see for yourself. The Nordend makes me feel at home in my city.
