Just a few steps away from the biggest (and probably also the weirdest) square in Geneva, called La plaine de Plainpalais, you can find one of my favorite café-restaurants: Au Grütli.
Au Grütli, located inside la Maison des arts du Grütli, hosts a cinema, a theater, a musical library and artists' and dance studios. Inside this cozy café you can undoubtedly feel the bohemian and arty atmosphere of this entire place, which I definitely adore!
The ambiance is chic, but at the same time simple and very relaxing. The interior decoration changes very often and every time I go there, new paintings and posters appear on the walls.
I love to go there either for just a coffee/drink or a tasty dinner before watching a movie at the cinema downstairs. Au Grütli is the ideal spot if you wish to have a healthy meal made from local and seasonal ingredients and it is also a great address if you are vegetarian, as their offer of veg dishes is varied and creative.
As I mentioned before, all the ingredients, wisely mixed and used in their plates, are locally sourced, which is a great plus, as you know what you eat and you can help expand and grow an amazing network of local producers.
One last tip: don’t forget to try the vegan fusion burger and the sorbet mint & orange: absolutely to die for!
