To my absolute delight, Bao Canteen was opened in August of 2018 by a food and beverage consulting agency in the center of Geneva. They had been advising other restaurants on their admin, location, finances, and marketing, so they decided to put all of their knowledge to good use, and open their own place.
I am very happy with their choice to serve Gua Bao, a kind of delicious Taiwanese street food! Their gua baos are tasty, of decent size, and can be combined with soups and other extras for a light and delicious snack, or a full meal.
The decoration is quite minimalist and tasteful, with touches here and there to remind one that this is indeed an Asian restaurant.
Bao Canteen is 1) brand new 2) centrally located in a busy neighborhood in Geneva so it can get hectic at lunchtime (they don't offer take-away on weekdays between 12:00 - 14:00) but if you go at the right moment and find a spot, it's a great place to eat.
