Dull sky, rainy day in Geneva? Head to EcuaLatino restaurant and surely you will find the sun again!!
Located in the vibrant quarter of La Jonction where the Rhone and the Arve rivers meet, this cozy restaurant is a hidden gem not to be missed, especially if you are longing for a taste of Latin America atmosphere.
I stumbled into EcuaLatino by accident about a year ago, after a long afternoon spent unpacking my stuff in my new apartment, just a hundred meters away from there. I was immediately hooked by their mouth-watering empanadas that you can take away for a real deal: 3 pieces for only 10 CHF!
After trying it, I decided to go back there for dinner without doubts and I was not disappointed at all!
The atmosphere is authentic and genuine, as the food is cooked with love by mama Rocio.
On the menu, you can find a wide variety of delicacies from different Latin American countries, especially from Ecuador, Peru and Colombia. A must-try are their different types of ceviches and lovely pisco sours… I fell in love with them! The prices are right, considering the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients.
The interior decoration lets your mind travel to South America, and so does the “caliente” music, which after the first sip of Pisco makes you wanna dance all night.
Recommended for a casual dinner with friends or with your beloved to enjoy some heart-warming food in an unpretentious and chill atmosphere.
