Wanna feel like a child again? Come to the big playground at Planten un Blomen where I spent some of my childhood days checking the amazing equipment. If you want to have the stuff on your own, come in the early morning or late evening hours to play at the water play area and with some monkey bars.
Wanna get in trouble with children? The busiest time is the summer and the holiday season during midday. You can check out the fake mountains to climb on or walk under and explain yourself to four year olds. :) It is not the quietest place in town as you can imagine but if I wanna be part of a different universe than my usual one, I go there. There's even a solution to the noise at hand: the playground lies on the edge of the beautiful park and is near the Japanese Gardens.
It's totally worthwhile but bring a second pack of clothing during summer, because it can be wet in the water play area. Of course you can try it out and have your own experiences... ;) And if you are done, just walk some minutes and enjoy the quiet Japanese garden.
