Flowers, lunch and delicatessen during the day and champagne and party atmosphere in the evening — welcome to Feinkost Schnalke.
The small store with nostalgic lettering on the window is located in the bustling St. Pauli district. During the day, it presents itself in a dignified manner and has been serving German home cooking, wines and sweets paired with pretty bouquets of flowers since 1933.
In the evenings, however, the place transforms into a very popular (and lively!) bar — a mixed crowd of people come here for champagne, wine and beer, chatting, laughing and dancing. The atmosphere is usually loud and boisterous, and the drinks are more than affordable — it's almost always worth a visit. The only drawback (in my opinion) is that smoking is permitted in the bar.
