When it comes to gelato ice cream, I think it can solve (almost) any problem. But then I am very picky on the flavors – they can't get me with the average vanilla-chocolate-strawberry-combination. Therefore, I was thrilled when Delzepich opened their doors in 2011. Not only because the gelato is mixed freshly every morning (which makes it so creamy) and is completely hand made, but also for their huge variety of flavors. The two owners create different menus every single day and they come up with exciting flavors like salty caramel, elder, pancake – maple syrup or Franzbrötchen, which is a typical Hamburg pastry with cinnamon. Don't worry – for those of you that are more into the classical flavors, they always serve these as well.
Another great point – they only use natural ingredients and their milk comes from a regional farm with happy cows. And the prices are really fair as well!
After you've picked your favorite flavors, just walk down the street and take a stroll around the fancy area Winterhude and the outer parts of the Alster lake. Enjoy!
