There are architectural gems all around the city and this one stands here since 1931. It is a former Jewish Temple and was in use till 1938 and the circle shaped window shows a menora. In 1953 the federal radio station (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) bought it and is using it as a high profile music studio and concert hall till today.
As I love jazz and swing dances I like the so called "Liebermann Studio" in this building and the buildings beautiful and clean architecture. My Jewish friend was the one who first introduced me to the backstory of this building. It wasn't destroyed during WWII so you can still see the same old facade as it appeared in this formerly Jewish neighbourhood in the 1930s. Check the boardwalk of this neighbourhood: the golden cobblestones remind us of our Jewish neighbours who didn't survive the war, and who maybe loved jazz as much as I do and would join in at a concert for some dances.
The interior has undergone refurbishment and can be seen during concerts and you can check tickets at the link below.
