In the so called "Riverkasematten" where sailors once used to store their things and which is the only historical building on this part of the street, you can now drink a freshly tapped beer from "Überquell" brewery whose tanks hold gems from IPA to seasonal beers.
I love this area which is just below the primary school where I used to have writing workshops with children. I can go there to grab a beer and pizza after work and enjoy the view over the river. The furniture is hand-made from palettes on the garden outside and they have a hefty number of sunflowers at the edges of the terrace which makes it a beautiful spot between the industrial charm of the place, its furniture outside. At the same time it's cozy as an urban gardening project.
Just one thing: take some money. This is not the cheapest place to grab a beer. But it would be a pity not to give it a try while the sun is shining, as is, well, the view...
