Nadas inhabits a beautiful 1930s house in the historic neighborhood of Yeldeğirmeni, Kadikoy. It is a creative space dedicated to urban diversity with the goal of creating a more leisurely, conscious, and empathetic living community.

Nadas organizes creative workshops, gatherings, gardening and planting, studio work, yoga classes, art classes & art residencies, exhibitions and personal office work (co-working). By providing space for such ideas to be tested, realized, and shared, NADAS aims to build a community around living slowly, mindfully, and empathetically. It also hosts the Greensquaremeter, which offers a plant shop & hotel and free public events like Plant Talk.

I recently attended a nice workshop called “Design Basics With Collage”. The teacher was the artist Nora Byrne, who is also the design head of this creative place. One of the other members of the community, the artist Gabrielle Reeves is also giving watercolor, figure drawing, and oil painting workshops for beginners. The house is always open to those looking for a comfortable co-working space to concentrate on office work and those looking to rent space for their personal art studio, movement classes, and get-togethers.
