Techies is one of the newest places on Krakow's food map, offering a selection of soft tacos and craft beers on 14 taps.
My personal favorites are the shrimp taco ('Kreweta por favor') and the duck and mango one ('Tango z Mango' - I love when restaurants go all creative on the dishes' names). It would also be a good idea to pop in during lunchtime (12:00-16:00), as there is a new menu each day and it never disappoints.
What stands out the most for me is the selection of craft beers. I'm all for fruity beers, so my go-to's are the non-alcoholic Mango ale from Browar Grodzisk and Orange Gose citrus beer with a touch of coriander all the way from Estonia. If you wish to know what beers are currently on tap, you can go to Teichies' website: https://techies.ontap.pl/ where they keep all the boozy info updated.
Tall windows let in the beautiful light into the spacious interiors of Techies. It might seem a tad eclectic to begin with but all the little details like Lego Mario Kart TV, an art piece made of electric coils with Persian carpets on the floor, and a pastel-colored bar area make a surprising and very satisfying combo. On top of that finding a restaurant that offers tables that can fit bigger groups can be a nightmare and Techies definitely hits the jackpot with this one.
All that complemented with good ol' rock-and-roll in the background makes Techies the perfect place to unwind on any given day.
