It’s amazing where just one glass of wine can get you. As a Kraków Spotter, I obviously keep my eye on new openings. Shortly after Wine bar Lustra opened close to where I live, I took my boyfriend out to give this new place a try. We were meant to grab a quick glass of wine. We stayed for God knows how long instead.
Lustra (Polish for “mirrors”) is a small wine bar serving a choice of wines from the former Austro-Hungarian empire. The price-quality ratio is insane – for just 5 PLN (roughly 1 EUR) you can get a glass of good Austrian grüner veltliner (white) or zweigelt (red). The more fancy picks are quite affordable, too!
And the best part? Szymon, the owner of the place, knows all about hospitality. You feel welcome from the very first visit. If you feel like learning more about wines and the secrets of enology, he’ll tell you all about it. Wine bar Lustra is the place to be for the thirsty and for the curious!
