High-class and quirky — Dynasty Typewriter is the cutest contribution to the LA Stand-Up Comedy scene. It's just fun! Their energy, shows, brand, and graphic design — all fun! Super quirky and fun! It's an extension of the Owners, Jamie and Vanessa's fun energy, and they're just fun. Very fun!
Bold and brilliant voices showcase here, including: Russel Brand, Adam Sandler, Conan O'Brien, Sarah Silverman, John Mulaney & more! Netflix is a Joke shows, and at Conan’s “Up & Up” showcase.
Dynasty Typewriter is the first place I see the GREATS of a new generation. Great comics. Here, I first discovered Randy Feltface, Fahim Anwar, Moses Storm, Chris Redd and Conan's "Up and Up" showcase. Fahim made fun of my cousin so hard for being (who he is), and I laughed so hard that I cried. He's hilarious. Their showcases are always great. Here, I also saw the Netflix is a Joke Improv auditions and that was very interesting!
Dynasty Typewriter is located in a peculiar part of LA. 1/2 gentrified - 1/2 ghetto. It’s close to McArthur Park, which is the shadiest of parks in LA, and it's important to be street smart in this area. I protect my spirit by commanding “Forcefield activated!” The best parking is located on Wilshire in front of the theater, but there is a paid lot around the corner. Next door, there’s a Mexican restaurant that’s also shady. It’s a shady part of town, but a cool theater!
