Forest Lawn is LA's heaven on Earth. It’s a peaceful sanctuary to escape from the noise of the city and draw nearer to the spirit. It is a cemetery unlike any other. A memorial park built by Dr. Hubert Eaton with the intention to: “Become A Place Where Lovers New And Old Shall Love To Stroll And Watch The Sunset’s Glow, Planning For The Future Or Reminiscing Of The Past; A Place Where Artists Study And Sketch; Where School Teachers Bring Happy Children To See Things They Read Of In Books.”
The art in Forest Lawn is incredible. There are exact replicas of the Statue of David, La Pieta, and many Renaissance masterpieces. My favorite work of art here is Jan Styka’s painting "The Crucifixion" - the largest framed painting in the world! There’s a ½ hr presentation on the painting’s miraculous story on the hour every hour from 10am – 4pm at the Hall of the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Incredible entertainers rest here. Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, Elizabeth Taylor, Sammy Davis Jr., Mary Pickford, Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, and many more all made Forest Lawn their home.
The views are incredible. To the north is a view of the Verdugo Hills. To the West, Burbank and a touch of Griffith Observatory. To the south, downtown Los Angeles. To the East, the rolling hills of East LA. It’s a very sweet and sacred place to connect with incredible art and the spirit.

My favorite bowl is the “Ritual of Champions”. It has acai, hemp seeds, strawberries, bananas, cacao, and peanut butter drizzled on top.
