The story behind how I discovered this store is kind of funny. I had recently move to LA and I needed some tableware and home decor for my little nest. After passing by my IKEA and some other big companies around my neighborhood, I decided I wanted something different, maybe more unique. So I typed "tableware stores in LA" and Furthur appeared. I went right away, parked my car and the first thing I see is the owner closing the doors. It was already 5PM. At any other place, and rightfully so, she wouldn't have allowed me to buy my stuff for obvious time reasons, but she changed her mind, and reopened the store, just for me.
Little did I know I was about to discover one of the most original furniture and gift shops in town. Everything is handmade in Mexico, so if I say every article is unique and everything has so many colors, I mean it. That day, I bought pottery plates and bowls and some coasters. But the most beautiful things at the store are the mosaic tables. They really represent the soul of what Mexican art is.
There's also a section intended for people buying gifts. They have an amazing collection of French soaps, lotions and fragrances.
The store is located on Silver Lake, a beautiful neighborhood in LA about which I've also written before. It's lovely!
