When I'm looking for find Mexican food, I dine at La Cabañita. They don't just slap beans and rice on a plate and call it good. They take the time to prepare a flavorful dish with a beautiful presentation.
The food... Oh my... The food is so bomb! It's slow-cooked, rich, and flavorful. I usually order a bean, cheese, and rice burrito at every Mexican joint I go to, but La Cabañita has me curious to try new things. I love their vegetarian tacos and tostados. There's something distinct about their flavours. Spicy. Cinnamon-like, but not sweet. Overall, the taste is extremely authentic.
The ambience is colorful, fast-paced, and loud. It's a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful mural. It's a little louder than the average restaurant, which doesn't make for the best conversations, but if you don’t mind shouting, it’s fine. It feels like I’m in my family's kitchen.
The parking is tricky. If I'm lucky, I’ll find a spot on Verdugo Road. The next best is Ocean View or Sunview Drive. Be certain to “curb your car” because parking enforcement in the city of Glendale is stupid.
The customer service at La Cabañita is exceptional. The waiters are friendly. More importantly, they're happy, swift, and knowledgeable about the menu. I've never had to ask for a water or chip refill. They're always on top of it, and that's how I like it!
Delicious Mexican food. Incredible people. Excellent place!
