I love the LA Flower District! It's a series of streets and shops full of places to buy plants, fresh flowers, bouquets and accessories to jazz up any ambiance with flowers. Shipped from all over the world, the variety and prices are incredible. Orchids, cacti, succulents, bouquets, and arrangements out of this world! This bustling district of downtown is huge and can be challenging to navigate, so I'll guide you directly straight to the Original LA Flower Mart. It’s my favourite place to buy plants and flowers in LA.
The Original LA Flower Mart is located on Wall Street between 7th and 8th Street. It's an open-air flower mall made of several shops/businesses catering to the floral industry. There are florists, flower wholesalers, design accessories... Everything you need to buy, give, or grow a nice arrangement. Plants, flowers, and accessories for every occasion!
Cash is king and great for negotiation. I’ve found floral bundles for $5-$10. Nice bouquets for $10-15. Succulents for $1. Medium-sized house plants for $10 - $15 (orchids included). Large house plants for $15-25. Funeral arrangements on stands for $50-$100. $25-$100 is a respectable budget here for a nice mix of plants and flowers. Estimate: $5-$10 for close parking, and even though it looks shady, it's normal.
I love to buy plants and flowers here. They add magic to every day, every ambiance. I love to place a nice centerpiece in my home, give them to friends, and leave flowers on Walt Disney's grave at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Read my Forest Lawn article next!
