Perch is the worst-kept secret in Los Angeles. A few years ago, you could absolutely call it a ‘secret bar,’ but it’s become such a hot spot (rightfully so), this characteristic has long been forgotten, even though the entrance remains the same. Once you enter the Pershing Square building’s elevator, you will want to go up to the 13th floor, then take a second elevator, where you will see a little bird next to the button for the 15th floor – this is where the Perch restaurant is located, serving French cuisine and offering some amazing views of the Downtown LA skyline.
But wait, there’s more! Just one floor higher is their rooftop bar, with even better views! It’s a very popular place now that the secret is finally out, so it’s best to book a reservation or come by on a weekday, when you’ll have an easier time getting a decent spot to admire the skyline. The rooftop bar area is relatively small too so, even on a Monday night, you might have to wait patiently for that good spot, but it’ll definitely be worth it.
