Located in the heart of DTLA, Rhythm Room is sort of like a 1920s inspired speakeasy founded by Cindy La and Vince Vong, who after spending a decade in New York, returned to their hometown with the only idea of making something fun. As a result, there’s Rhythm Room. A warming yet glam and still relaxed venue that will make you fall in love with its vibe.
The most surprising feature right after walking down the stairs, is a living room decorated in such way that I immediately feel at home; books, armchairs, low light. Then the bar reminds me where I am. Simple drinks, red wine and board games.
Watching amazing musicians perform while I'm playing cards or chest compels what a happy moment means for me.
Games are free, they just asked me for an ID which they gave me back when I finished playing. There are a lot of game options. Although e.g. Jenga isn't my favorite, I'm sure they won't mind If next time I take my own Jenga there. They're cool like that.
For the music, just wait til you get there and enjoy. The bands are amazing. And they also have this jam vibe so If any musician is reading me now, go to the Rhythm Room and feel free to jump to the stage!
