I’ve been to some pretty sloppy açaí shops in LA. Some just pull the fruit out of the freezer. Some just glob peanut butter on top with no care for the presentation. But for $10-$15 a bowl, I have standards.
I want the açaí to be fresh. I want it to look good, and I want to feel great about it. I don’t want the acai to be runny (like Jamba Juice). I want it to be packed tight like a ball of ice cream. I don’t want a teenager upset that I’m ordering and interrupting their Tik Tok scrolling either! I just want whoever chooses to make food for a job, to be conscious.
Out of all the açaí shops I’ve tried in Los Angeles, Ritual has the best açaí. The people who work here put so much care into the acai. From the base to fresh topping options, to the overall presentation, it’s delicious. My favorite bowl is the “Ritual of Champions”. It has acai, hemp seeds, strawberries, bananas, cacao, and peanut butter drizzled on top. I just trust that it’s healthy. But most importantly, it's delicious!
