The Misfit is a timeless bar in Santa Monica. It has delicious food and health-conscious dishes that are both comforting and nourishing to the soul. I discovered this place after a comedy show on the 3rd Street Promenade. What a gem!
The location is incredible. On the west edge of LA, right by the ocean, it’s walking distance from the 3rd Street Promenade, right off Santa Monica Boulevard. Housed on the ground floor of the Clock Tower Building, it has cool architectural features inside and out. Inside, it’s moody, gothic, and the bar is decorated as a library. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had an Edgar Allen Poe collection. There’s a long bench of stools that wrap around the bar and 2 levels of tables and booths welcoming groups of guests of all sizes. My husband’s company even had a Christmas party here.
The food is excellent. The drinks are refreshing. In their own words they are, “Creative comfort food, health-conscious fare, and handcrafted cocktails star at this hip gastropub.” I ordered the Mac and cheese. My friend ordered the Brussel sprouts. We split them, and were both full. I Zordered a Moscow Mule that was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. They have vegetarian dishes. They serve great cocktails, and my personal favorite: A happy hour menu.
The Misfit attracts people from all walks of life. The ambiance is cool for all ages and cultures 21+. It's the perfect place to go and recommend to friends.
