In case you don't know already, Luxembourg is a small country! Consequently, Luxembourg Ville is also a relatively small city centre. However, do not be fooled by its size. There is plenty of city to find!
My favorite part of visiting larger cities is getting lost in the various ethnic centres that exist. While Luxembourg Ville does not officially have a Chinatown, Little Italy or Little India, Rue de Strasbourg offers a similar feel. The street is a combination of various restaurants that offer a range of food, from shawarma to pho to pizza. The street is not car-friendly due to limited parking and delivery trucks parked throughout so I recommend walking. This is easy to do given the tram stops at the Gare Central station and the street is a short walk away.
If you are looking for authentic pita and roti bread, Sham Market is the place to go. It is full of Middle Eastern deliciousness! You can easily pick up some bread, fresh fruits, labneh, and baklava and walk on over to the Pétrusse valley to enjoy a picnic. If you are having an extended visit to Luxembourg and want to do some cooking, you will find everything you need to create almost any meal you desire. Dafa Supermarket offers a plethora of sauces (including truly hot and spicy ones!), noodles, spices and other Asian delights. Between the various stores and restaurants on the street, you are sure to find something your taste buds desire.
