Who doesn’t love flavorful, fresh, satisfying Asian food?! That’s what I thought - but finding a restaurant (of any type!) worth revisiting can take you on a journey that is sometimes fraught with less than enjoyable experiences. Well, you can safely add Peppermint Restaurant Asiatique to the "awesome eating" list.
Peppermint has two locations in Luxembourg: one in Bonnevoie and now in Kirchberg, which opened in early 2022. The restaurant is just off Avenue John F. Kennedy on Rue Edward Steichen. I suggest jumping on the LuxExpo tram as it’s the easiest and fastest way to get there from the city center.
The space inside is beautiful! Bright, open, and with natural woods, it is inviting and modern. The staff is incredibly kind. We were greeted as soon as we entered and within minutes after ordering, the most delicious “amuse belle” (as our server called it) was brought to each of us. The menu offers a good selection of vegetarian and gluten-free options and all allergens are listed for each dish. While they do not have a dessert menu, I highly recommend leaving room for the mango sticky rice - absolutely incredible! During summer months, you can sit outside and take in the community. The staff seem to know all the people that live and work in the area!
Luxembourg Ville has many good restaurants, however, if you are looking for a quiet place with delicious, quality food, run by friendly, hard-working and attentive staff, then Peppermint is definitely worth the money.
