There is wonder in most everything I see at Brandstorming. This little space is a concept store dedicated to craftsmanship made in Italy, auto-produced design and art. There is loads of research, curation and passion behind the frequently changing selection. What started as a temporary store in 2008 transformed into a multi-functional space also hosting events and art exhibitions.
So, what can you expect at Brandstorming? Originality and a special focus on up-cycling and reclaimed materials, all produced in limited editions or as individual items. And an eclectic collection ranging from fashion accessories to jewellery and lamps, from large and small home accessories to handbags and tableware. Brandstorming is a universe of unusual and interesting items, all of them selected by designer Giovanni Scafuro with extreme care and and an eye for outstanding quality.
The common denominator behind all the objects on offer is the philosophy of creating something special that lasts and tells a story of creativity, production techniques and the respect of the designers for what they do.
Whenever you are hunting for something really unique, Brandstorming is a good place to start. Want an example? Jewellery made of Mac keys and Lego bricks, iPad covers made of jute bags, lamps that have been Gin bottles in their previous lives.
To cut a long story short, it is always worthwhile dropping by, having a look around and a little chat with the friendly ladies who run this lovely little cabinet of curiosities.
