Sunday morning; I had to catch up with one of my really good friends and we wanted to go "somewhere different": that vague concept of "somewhere different" that has to combine good food, a nice location with a relaxed and chill vibe. We decide to head out to Madama Bistrot, a spot for brunch. My friend had been there for brunch and she promised a good atmosphere! As we walked in, reggae music was playing and we were greeted by the friendly staff.
I could talk about the fact that the brunch menu is simple yet curated, that the food is good and the price is pretty cheap for Milan but that is just an added bonus. Madama Bistrot is actually part of Madama Hostel & Bistrot. Yes, the name says it all, this spot is actually a hostel that decided to "open" its doors for brunch, dinner or happy hour to the "outside world". You simply have to pick up the phone and make a reservation for lunch and you don't have to be a guest staying at their hostel. This great idea also makes this spot a very cool mixture of locals and travellers from all over the world. The nice atmosphere is perfect for making new friends over a glass of prosecco!
