Walking into a cafè and feeling that you are going into a living room, among friends: that's what happens when you visit Milan's RAB.
RAB is a very easy-going social space not far from the well known Navigli area; it's a cozy cafè & aperitivo place, as well as a much-loved co-working space with free wifi and workstations. Even though RAB turned only three on December 1st 2019, it has been one of the best spots in Corso San Gottardo since day 1. They are now coming back after the Coronavirus quarantine with a short opening and encourage booking.
In the typical Magritte fashion, RAB's sign says “this is not a bar”, and I would agree: RAB is more like a common room to inspire and get inspired. This place is chill and there's tons of board games to play, too; plus, they promote culture through art shows and events, and there's a box where you can post a letter to your future self - they'll make sure you get it.
Also, behind the counter you'll see a small blackboard that reads "caffè sospesi": a caffè sospeso (pending coffee) is a cup of coffee that you pay for in advance as an act of charity, so that if somebody walks in & can't afford the coffee they will benefit from your good deed. Leave your own caffè sospeso, if you're feeling like it: it's gonna be an excuse for somebody who's less lucky to feel doubly welcome at such a fantastic social space as RAB.
