This is an amazing viewpoint on Montreal toward the East from Westmount, St-Henri, Verdun, and more. I discovered it while jogging around trying to go higher and higher after crossing King George park. Even my local friends asked me where this place is when I showed them pictures of what you see from there. Often they know about Belvedère Outremont which offers a view toward the West, but rarely are they aware of this one.
Some people do know about it — there are often cars parked for a few minutes, time to take a few selfies, or the bicycle enthusiasts arriving from Mont-Royal to add some climbs in their city path or me.
But if you belong to none of these groups of people, there is still a solution to go there: take bus line 11 (a great bus line crossing Mont-Royal), you will arrive from the back of Summit Woods — it’s easy to find where to stop when you look at the bus path or simply ask the driver. Then you will have to climb some stairs, walk on the former road around the summit turned into a park, on the other side the landscape and the Summit Look Out will reveal themselves. From there, you just need to continue in the same direction by going down toward St-Henri or catch a bus on Sherbrooke Street to go to your next destination.
