I am more a city girl than a suburban type, it is known! Nevertheless, I can really appreciate the countryside for a moment. In the summertime if I'm not out of town, I enjoy the green spots that Montreal offers us.
One of my favorite choices: Jeanne-Mance Park. It's huge - 14.2294 hectare (1,531,639 square feet), separated by Park Avenue, just at the foot of the famous mountain in Montreal: Mount-Royal. In fact this is where the mythic group of Tam Tam players takes place, every Sunday in summer. Worth a visit! Everyone is welcome and it's free.
The park features a variety of activities (playground for toddlers, paddling pool, tennis and soccer court and an outdoor skating rink all winter) or simply just an expanse of green grass and magnificent trees where it is good to sunbathe, read, chat with friends - a glass of rosé in hand and for that matter, enjoy a picnic or barbecue.
It's a great spot to admire the colors of autumn of the Mount Royal just in front.
// FYI, the tennis courts are out of order for the moment.
