The first time I went there it was late at night, thanks to a fellow Montreal Spotter. Coming back by day I couldn't believe it was the same place, but the burger was so good I had to come back! If you see the picture, it looks pretty much like an old diner, once inside it still looks like an old diner, but once you have the menu and greetings from the lovely staff you know you are somewhere else.
When I mention that place to local friends, some of them remember it as a very old diner where the coffee was cheap, but they will never dare try the food on the menu... I told them once that the owners are not the same obviously and that they should try it. So I regularly bring new old customers, and to my knowledge they all come back.
I mention the burger, but the other items on the menu are worth trying, I mean, they have spätzle, and the fried chicken is amazing. I'm not a dessert person but once again, here I make exception and space for it. It's a sign.
And last but not least, they are open until pretty late. It's always nice to sit somewhere, enjoy a beer with your friends and some food almost in the middle of the night. I even brought my parents once, they loved it, true story.
Covid update, they do take away of course.
