I thought that I'd been everywhere in Munich and that there was no place someone could recommend to me, that I didn't know already. But this cinema was totally new for me and I asked myself why I hadn't been there in the years that I've lived in Munich. It's like a small pearl or a paradise for cinemaniacs, who love to see films in English or independent movies, not in a high quality dolby surround system that hurt your ears, but in an old cinema atmosphere smelling of popcorn.
First you buy some snacks or popcorn, a soft drink or beer and walk outside in direction to the cinemas. I love the patio in front of the different cinemas. It has a kind of retro flair with its colourful chains of lights, the benches next to the virginia creeper. Even waiting before the movie starts is a kind of entertainment. And afterwards I feel like I have to stay for one more drink to enjoy the unique atmosphere.
My conclusion: you do not necessarily need to watch a movie - enjoy the atmosphere in the patio.
