If you love pizza and you are convinced that pasta, side dishes like salads and vegetable or antipasti are unnecessary filling material, then The Italian Shot is the right place to go.
A short view of the menu and you recognize what this restaurant is specialized in – Pizza. Just pizzas in many varieties and nothing more. But I've seen someone eating salad, this must have been a mirage. I love places with a small menu, because I always have problems to decide what I want to eat. Everything sounds delicious, but I chose a pizza with parma ham, figs, honey roasted walnuts and goat's cheese.
Why is it called "The Italian Shot"? The name was adopted from the Italo western movie scene. Do you remember those close‐up shots of Clint Eastwood in Sergio Leone movies? This is an Italian shot and this is why some pizzas are called movie titles, e.g. "The good, the bad and the ugly".
My conclusion: if you could die for pizza, take an Italian Shot!
