Groruddalen is a valley located in the Northeastern part of Oslo. It was once a significant farmland area with fertile soil and many properties and rural estates. The best preserved of them is Linderudgård, an elegant manor surrounded by graceful gardens.

For the ones interested in historic buildings and gardens and those who love discovering sites off the beaten track, this is an ideal spot to visit when in Oslo. Only 15 minutes away from the city center by metro (station Linderud, lines 4 or 5) Linderudgård is easily accessible.

The manor is a refined white wooden 18th-century building with a mix of Renaissance and Baroque styles. The property was owned by the influential Mathiesen family for over 300 years. Its well-kept and sophisticated interior is possible to visit on a guided tour on weekends during the season from May to October. The stunning gardens of the Manor with its pathways and ponds are open daily from 09:00 to 17:00
