Grains Bakeri first opened its doors in December 2018 in Majorstuen, right next to the tram station. Since then, Grains has expanded and now has several branches in Oslo, such as Løren, Mathallen and Frogner. The one I am spotlighting here is situated in Niels Jules gate in Frogner, offering a spacious seating area both indoors and outdoors, allowing you to enjoy your meal regardless of the weather.
Grains Bakeri is more than just an ordinary bakery; it is also a pastry shop and brasserie that embodies a passion for food, high-quality ingredients, and handmade delicacies crafted with care by pastry chefs. And, of course, it exudes French ambiance. The concept at Grains Bakeri is essentially simple: exquisite French food and a cozy atmosphere.
At Grains Bakeri you can enjoy sourdough bread and other baked goods baked each night, as well as French patisseries such as pain au chocolat, éclair, profiterole, and quiche. However, Grains Bakeri is particularly renowned for their delicious galettes (thin buckwheat pancakes) and sweet crêpes made with various fillings. The menu also includes other traditional items like salads, soup, and fresh bread, with food prices reaching up to 164 NOK. When it comes to beverages, they have several options: tea, coffee, various soft drinks, beer, bubbles, and white or red wine. All their products are homemade and of the highest quality, served in charming surroundings by friendly staff.
