AIA Bookstore Philadelphia

Specialty store

Rob from Philadelphia

About me I grew up in a small city in Missouri and started traveling as soon as I got my driver's license at 16. Traveling has always been my passion. I feel like I must have been an explorer in a past life because I’ve been on the go from day one. I travel as much as I can and try to take a trip once a month. I want to see and experience everything! Currently, I keep busy with ...
""AIA Bookstore" is one of the first places I found when I moved to Philadelphia, and I fell in love with it instantly. AIA = American Institute of Architects."

AIA bookstore is one of the first places I found when I moved to Philly, and I fell in love with it instantly. AIA stands for American Institute of Architects, so the store specializes in everything to do with architecture. The bookstore not only has a wide variety of architecture books, but it also has a lot of different and unique gifts. You will find something to please everyone. The store is almost like a toy store for kids and adults because really, who doesn't like a tin can robot kit or a doodling robot kit. Other items the store offers are really smartly designed items for your house.

Even people with no creativity can find a gift here that will make everyone you know think you are a genius. The things you will find are one of a kind, and hard to find anywhere else. Every time I go into the store I find new items I want to buy. They also carry some one of a kind Philadelphia inspired gifts in case you are looking for a cool souvenir. The store is not that large but they really pack a lot of different and unique items in the space they have. They really do have something for every occasion.

I feel like I must have been an explorer in a past life because I’ve been on the go from day one. I travel as much as I can and try to take a trip once a month. I want to see and experience everything! Currently, I keep busy with anything that has to do with the industry. In my spare time, I review restaurants, hotels, spas, and casinos. I also host people in my house from all over the world on AirBnb and Wimdu. I really enjoy...

Penn Museum of Anthropology

Mummies and more

The "Penn Museum of Anthropology" in Philadelphia would be a marquee attraction in a smaller town. Don't overlook this jewel and its collections, trust me.

Night Kitchen

The best bakery in Chestnut Hill

How "Night Kitchen" get its cinnamon rolls to absorb so much butter is one of the great mysteries of Philadelphia. It's my favorite bakery in Chestnut Hill.
